but they are still forced to live underground and neither the Am Shaegar nor Noden have power to bring the sun back to Arx.
Bittersweet Ending: Everything seems to be okay, Akbaa is banished forever, his cult is wrecked and beheaded, king Lunshire meets his long-lost daughter and "rebels", who turn to be her protectors, probably will rejoin Arx kingdom. Beneath the Earth: The game is set in a world where the sun was blocked out and most civilizations moved into the underground, into massive cavern systems and the dwarven mines, where they rebuild their towns and cities. They, however, require a great strength to use. Bank Robbery: It's possible to rob the bank in the City of Arx, though doing so involves a fairly long and obtuse series of tasks in order to make a copy of the necessary key. Bandit Mook: Rat Men can steal your money during a fight. Baleful Polymorph: Lord Inut turned himself permanently into a chicken. Bad with the Bone: Guess what is Am Shaegar's first weapon. Awesome, but Impractical: Lightning Bolt and Slow Time. 
Also the ending suggests there is hope of moving back to the surface in the future, as it shows the sun is not in fact out, but merely obscured by a cloud of dust in space.
Apocalypse How: A bit of a strange example as, while the sun burning out has caused somewhat of an apocalypse, most have survived it. Anti-Frustration Features: You can buy a key ring from the general store in the human city which absorbs and permanently adds to it the function of that key, saving the player from a great deal of inventory shuffling and Key Confusion. The bottom half isn't necessary for completing the game, however. 
Ancient Tomb: The tomb in the city of Arx is by far the largest dungeon in the game, stretching many floors downwards with increasingly dangerous traps and enemies. This miniature is a reference to a similar beast from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This miniature shares its model shape with a Miniature Greased Lightning and Miniature World-Famous Racing Beetle. 
Randomly awarded from a Birthday Present which is received when a character reaches 36 and 84 months old. The Miniature Black Beast of Aaaaarrrrrrggghhh is a miniature version of The Black Beast of Arrgh.
